AI Studio builds beautiful sites fast — and then locks them inside GoHighLevel (GHL) with no download button. Here's how to download or export your AI Studio site into clean, hostable static files you actually own.
GoHighLevel's AI Studio lets you generate entire websites from prompts, but everything it produces lives inside GHL's proprietary system. There is no download or "Export AI Studio Website" button, so if you want to hand a GHL site to a client as an owned asset, move off the platform, or keep an offline backup, you need a tool that can capture what AI Studio renders and package it for hosting.
Before you start, it helps to know there are two different approaches, and they produce different results:
For most people — agencies handing off client sites, or anyone who just wants a fast, self-hosted copy — the rendered export is the practical choice. The rest of this guide walks through it.
Add the ExportGHL Frontend Exporter from the Chrome Web Store and pin it for quick access. (Prefer a manual install? Download the ZIP, then in chrome://extensions enable "Developer mode", click "Load unpacked", and select the extracted folder.)
Navigate to your published AI Studio website, open the ExportGHL popup, and enter your purchased or free-trial email. AI Studio pages are built dynamically with JavaScript, so a plain "Save As" only captures an empty shell. Enable Use rendered snapshot mode so the exporter opens each page in a worker tab and waits for all layout scripts, fonts, and CSS variables to finish rendering before capturing the HTML.
If your AI Studio site has more than one page, also enable Discover hidden/unlinked internal pages so the crawler finds every page, including ones not linked in the main navigation. Then click Export Full Site (or Export This Page Only to grab a single page).
The exporter scrolls each page to trigger lazy-loaded images, downloads every asset, and builds a consolidated ZIP containing:
/pages: cleaned, static HTML snapshots of your AI Studio pages./assets: downloaded styles, scripts, fonts, and images./migration: a rebuild checklist and integration audit for reconnecting dynamic features. For more on getting the cleanest possible capture, see our AI Studio exporting tips & tricks.
ExportGHL gives you a rendered static build, which is ideal for hosting and migration. It does not hand back the original React project files. If you specifically need the AI Studio source code to keep building in a framework, that comes from code-editor extraction tools — we break down exactly which tool does which in the GoHighLevel export tool comparison.
Because the output is standard static HTML, CSS, and JS, you can host it almost anywhere in minutes. Popular options include Netlify and Vercel (drag-and-drop or connect a repo), Cloudflare Pages, or uploading into WordPress. For a full walkthrough, see self-hosting your GHL exports on a CDN.
A static export can't run GoHighLevel's server-side features, so contact forms, booking calendars, and payment widgets need to be re-wired with standard embeds like Calendly or Formspree. The included migration checklist lists what to reconnect — and our guide on reconnecting forms and calendars after export covers the how.
There are two approaches to getting an AI Studio site out, and the popular tools split along that line:
| Tool | Approach | What you get | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| ExportGHL | Rendered snapshot | Clean static HTML, CSS & JS, all assets, migration docs | Hosting or migrating your AI Studio site anywhere |
| GHL Escape Kit | Code-editor extraction | The original React source project | Continuing development in a framework |
| VibeEscape | AI Studio download | Downloaded AI Studio site files | Grabbing an AI Studio build |
If you want a site you can host immediately, the rendered export is the practical choice. For a full feature-by-feature breakdown, see the GoHighLevel export tool comparison.
